... but i gotta tell someone about this!! :) in the new issue of Car and Driver (a later offshoot of that wonderful ol' mag Wagon and Muleskinner), way back in the back, where those dippy little 2x2 ads are, was this: -------------------------------------------------------------------- Ultra Sonic Spark Plugs!!! atomizes fuel droplets for better combustion * More Power, Better Mileage! * Dramatic 4-cylinder Power! * Computer Friendly * For Cars, Trucks, RVs, Motorcycles, Watercraft U.S. Patent No. 5,610,470 Shockwave * Pre-Gapped * Focused Spark Ultra Sonic Spark Plugs Increase Engine Horsepower / Gas Mileage 20 % GUARANTEED!!!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- - ooooooooooooooh, righty then! :) lemme see if i get this right ... "fuel droplets"?? since most cars are fuel injected, and the proper spray pattern from an injector is a mist, NOT DROPLETS, this turkey plug ain't gonna do much, right? :) and in a carburetted version, the object of the venturi is to atomize the fuel already ... so there shouldn't be any 'droplets' to be found when the fuel-air mixture reaches the spark plugs, right? and what, exactly, is "Dramatic 4-Cylinder Power"?? does this mean i can only use these plugs in 1-, 2-, and 3-cylinder engines? what if i put them into a v-6? or a v-8? will i still get "dramatic 4-cylinder power"??? :) computer friendly? can i use them on my hard disk? or are they only for 3.5" floppies? :) i tell ya, folks, there's a new form of snake-oil every month ... sorry. just had to tell somebody. :) unca joel |
