I've had Michelin Agilis 61 tires on my '87 Westy for three days now. These tires are, far and away, the best tires I've had on the Westy since I bought the vehicle new, way back in the last millenium! I've run two sets of Continental Transporters and one set of Dunlop LT in the past thirteen years. Wind? What wind? It's just not a factor any more when highway driving. The vehicle tracks straight and true with just a light touch on the steering wheel and corners like a snake with very little body roll. Lane changes are quick and crisp. Highway noise is quite acceptable. We're still snow-free here, in the center of winter world, so I can't comment on the tires' performance in snow. Granted, the tires are expensive but, IMHO, Michelin Agilis 61 tires are worth every penny (Canadian or U.S.). Roy Olynick '87 Westfalia GL (till death do us part) |
