I've had this problem twice too. They sent me the wrong set of gaskets,
then failed to credit my account properly when I returned them. After
calling to try to ensure my account was properly balanced, I overheard a
not-so-courteous call taker say "What the heck is that guys problem?" in the
background. I still have a credit with them, and intend to do my final
business with them soon.
"Brian" assured me BOTH times that a head gasket for my '82 diesel engine
would be contained in the engine gasket set they sent. Very frustrating. I
finally gave up and bought them from my friendly local parts dealer. They
were in after 1 day of waiting, as apposed to the month+ of screwing with
Bus Depot.
All credit due, they were quick to find the mis-credit on my account, and
offered to send a check to me. However, after this experience, I do feel
less than comfortable doing business with them. My experiences with them
prior to this were both positive.

After a month of waiting on parts from Bus Depot I'm left either stranded
without parts or the wrong parts.
Paul one of the guys who works the phones tells me that they don't use ETKA
to find parts.
I'm sure he doesn't know what he's claming to be true or will deny he said
this to me.
The members of this form have better access to the REAL part numbers.
I called Ken at VANAGAIN on 251 843 711A Escutcheon, outer gasket, sliding
door and he found the part instantly because he knows the different in the
change of the model year.
Bus Depot same WRONG part TWICE, lose again. (this went on for a month)
What's Ron say:
Dan,
I'm afraid we're pretty much out of luck here, then. Your best bet may be
to try your local dealer.

(1) 025 115 131B oil pump gasket
(4) 113 101 475B Valve cover gaskets (87 Vanagon 2.1) .55 each
Never made it lose again, gave up to a VISA charge back now .
Ordered a rear brake kit they send me the front kit
GK2008 084-0470 c/o 1770925 Lucas Girling, I lose again
Ordered Valve cover gaskets they send me Valve covers, lose again
I'm sure Ron will retaliate saying I'm inpatient and rude but give me a
break,
wrong parts, no parts , waiting on parts that are never sent out, NO invoice
with EACH order.
I had to make many long distance calls to get the Invoices sent to me.
How would you feel?
Miss communication on my part some , poor knowledge base and lack of using
ETKA there's
Are they that busy that there customer suffer for it?
Moral of the story, Use ETKA on both sides and check your list TWICE, check
for availability, make them send an INVOICE with each order even if it's a
parcel order, how much trouble is that.
I think it's important that we know what where in for when dealing with the
intricacy of ordering parts and the great need for better communication on
both sides and taking a few more minute in getting it right.
I not the bad guy here just frustrated with there poor service.
I've spent allot of money with them only to be in inconvenience to there
"where to busy, can't find your lost parts, can't find your parts. don't
know how to find your parts, there on there way babble.
I'm up against the wall on this knowing Ron will 8 ball me for my complaints
but dam it if I don't complain.
Sincerely
Daniel Danrich
