Alex. Diesel heads normally have small cracks between the valves and unless they're big it won't hurt a thing. Also that head is very comon on rabbits, golfs and jettas. Just make sure you get one with the correct valve lifters, solid or hydrolic. US VW cars had solid lifters untill around 86 and there were a lot of 85 golfs sold. Joe
