To all the respondants to my question on how to change the coolant...Thanks! The advice was much appreciated. Took me a whole afternoon, owing to: A) loosing the head drain plug in my loose stone driveway...not fun! Took a half hr. to find, and B) those stupid spring clamps VW used for the radiator hoses. Replaced them with american style screw hose clamps. took about an hr. to get those clamps off! All is well with the coolant so far... :-)
