Subject: 84 Westy For Sale
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Just came from a local car lot where I checked out a 84 Westy 4spd for sale. Thought I'd pass on the info in case anyone out there might be interested. The vehicle is in nice cond. with about 115k miles on the chassis. I was told it has been mostly parked in heated storage since 1991. Several years ago the missus took it out for a spin and didn't check the oil (which had leaked out over the years.) Result = one fried engine. It was replaced with an AMC(?) by a local VW certified mechanic. Interior is in very nice to excellent condition, exterior shows some road dings/chips. Tires are Michelins and appear new. The windshield is cracked. There is an AM/FM cassette(?) radio, I don't recall the brand. Rear bumper has been replaced with a painted piece of angle iron - not as esthically appealinga but probably a lot stronger than the original. All curtains were present and the top looks to be in excellent condition also. The car lot is "Nice Cars Co., in Bellingham, WA, tel: 360-398-2854 - ask for Bob Croker, general manager. He can fill you in on the history, etc. Again, I have no interest, connections, etc. what-so-ever with this vehicle and I'm only repeating what I was told. Could be a nice Westy for the right party. I don't know how firm the price is.
