To all of you out there with the 2.0l aircooled vanagons, just think of us poor souls in europe with the 1600 versions !

Still they do use standard beetle parts = cheap & available. They don't have problems with what anti-freeze to use :-) If you get the heater sorted out (thanks Mr Bulley) they are also warm as toast in the winter.
