Subject: restoring pop-top liner
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Greetings,

The previous owner managed to do something to make the sickly yellow, ultra-suede, spray on lining inside our 86 westy pop-top, even more unsightly. For it is now stained with moldy, mildewy patches here and there and almost everywhere, that have proven impervious to all normal cleaning methods.

Is there a super mildew remover? Is there a fresh coat of spray-on super fuzz that can be applied? Has anyone else come up with creative solutions to similar problems? i.e. spanning the inside of the pop-top with a sub-ceiling, or glueing on fabric or who knows what.

All input no matter how outlandish is appreciated!

Happy Trails,

Patrick

'86 vanagon, syncro, westy, club joker, pop-top, sitting in the driveway waiting for us to have any freetime to give it, the poor thing.
