Hey Volks,

Well, it's starting to cool off here in Alaska so I finally got my resources together and purchase a replacement automatic tranny from Weddle Engineering. Tackled the installation last weeked at the auto hobby shop at the local AFB. Armed with a Haynes book, a Bently manual, and a sturdy pair of coveralls, I was able to remove and replace the unit in two days..... AND I HAVE ALL OF YOU TO THANK! Without the advice of this wonderful list and cumulative knowledge available in the archives.... I would have never been confident enough to attempt this. So, my hat is off you all of you..... Thanks for helping me through this and getting my Wobbly Bus to wobble a little less.

Scott De Santi 86 Vanagon 2WD (The Wobbly Bus) Anchorage, Alaska
