Subject: ECU chip received

Received my ECU (KOMBI) chip on 9/28. The box was postmarked 9/25. That's the good news. The bad news is now I find out my 89GL doesn't have the 022D Digifant! It has the 022 Digifant and the chip is about 1/4 inch shorter (fewer pins!). Mea Culpa ... I went by the year and didn't check under the shroud first. I have to check with my folks to see if they can use the chip in their Westy. If not, I'll advertise it on the list in the future.

Thanks Robert, for your effort and also for the +4's. They're installed and ... surprise, after reassembling the CPU, the darn think still runs!

Ken Hartz 89GL
