Hi Ben,

I dealt with this same problem myself. When installing my 16" fender flares I thought that the sliding door would hit them so I tried a modification. I bought a "swing arm" from a wrecking yard and had it extended 1.5" at a local welding shop. When I installed it I found out that my door now closed 1.5" past the latch, and would not latch. I also noticed that there was enough clearance for my fender flares with the stock arm.

So I never got my extended arm to work. I hear that Projektzwo has all the parts you are looking for. It is just getting them to the States that is a hassle.

BTW Ben, will you be at the Vanagon Tailgate Party?
