Have you ever been to a muffler shop?

Even better, have you ever installed a set of V8 headers on a 70's Dart?

Go to a muffler shop sometime and hang out for an hour or two. Watch the
violence intently. Muffler, header and exhaust pieces almost never fit
perfectly, or usually even well. Without torches and big hammers and giant
bazillion pound tubing benders, your attempts at installation *may* be
futile.

I have learned this lesson the hard way. Save the time and frustration and
let the 'professionals' fix it for you.
