I just finished hunting down what could be the last one of these on the planet. If it helps you the following don't have them (or didn't when I was looking in mid August 2000): www.bus-boys.com, www.vanagain.com - Ken is out of stock for sure, www.busdepot.com, www.gowesty.com, nor www.vwcalimports.com

Some suggestion I didn't try: www.copartfinder.com is a used parts finder search engine. www.fastforward.ca said they've installed Golf Tachs in Vanagons. Or you could always bite the bullet and call the dealer (probably expen$ive but you may luck out).

I was told the ETKA part number for the tachometer is 255 919 253 (Good for 1980 to 1984) and for the instrument housing, it is 255 919 053.
