I would add that to this that you probably do not want the nice milled surface. I did this and 'roughed' up the sealing edge with 000 steel wool. I had to pull the head off a few months latter because it came to be with a crack between the intake runners and was leaking coolant from said crack. When I pulled the head off I found that the JBWeld held tightly in places and not so tightly in others (actually came up with the black sealant). The areas it came up in where still somewhat shiny underneath - I didn't give the JBWeld enough surface to bit into I believe. In most of the areas, I couldn't get the JBWeld off with the platic putty scraper I was using...
