Subject: help, remvng/instlng speedo wiring

I am curious if anyone has removed the wiring ribbon and lights from a old speedo mount and put it in a new one. I bought a almost new speedo (plastic part) mount and am trying to put my old wiring and gauges in the new one. In paticular I am having problems pulling out the bulbs above the two windows (speedo & clock) and center part (idiot lights), they seem to be in there fairly tight. Is ther anyway to do this without breaking them????
