Is your 82 a diesel or air cooled?

If air cooled, you probably have a heat tube that is disconnected at the heat exchanger, an exchanger that needs the flap adjusted to the cable, or some other loose odds and ends.

I have an 81 that will burn you out of there it will get so hot, and my buddy's 83 will do the same. Something is loose or disconnected.
