Do you mean when it would normally glo that it stays on and how long? How do you get it to go off, turning the key on and off? If the answer to the first question is "they don't go off" Then I would say the glow plug relay is bad. I've got no Diesel experience on a Vanagon but lotts on rabbits, golfs and jetta's. My guess is that the current from 4 new glow plugs caused the relay's points to stick closed. I had a golf once that had a short in the wiring harness that would intermittently turn the light on. It's also possible that there is a water trap in your bus with a sensor that tells you when there is water in it. But they didn't appear untill about 85 or 86 in glofs/jetta's so I dought your 82 has on but maybe something to check.

hi everybody,

few weeks ago, i have changed 4 glows plug on my diesel west. Since this time, the glow plug light stay on and won't turn off. This happen half of the time. Is it because my battrey can't supply enough draw to turn off the glow plug light? Is it a temperature sensor problem?

thanks
