I need to know what all you guys out there in VW land would do. The westy doesn't run right now. Would you tow it to a mechanic who can let you know if the engine is toast or would you tow it home, invest money in the starter, battery, fuel injector pump and other things to find out it still won't start. Heres my delema if the bus needs a new engine and lots of money I dont want it. If on the other hand it needs someminor things and a fuel pump I do want it. My husband could do a compression test himself on it but if I'm not mistaken you need a special tool to take compression readings for a diesel. Oh What to do What to do! Sharon |
