Hello Everyone,
I have a wonderful story about meeting one our great list members, Dan.  I
noticed his post stating that he lived in the Chicago area (where I live),
so I p-mailed him asking for some assistance giving Karma Rose ('87 Westy)
some much needed maintenance repair.  Well, I went out to his and his
wonderful family's home Sunday and we spent several hours giving Karma a new
oil filter, oil change, gear oil change, fuel filter, spark plugs, spark
plug wires, distributor cap, and rotor.  She is feeling much better now and
is ready for winter.  I can't thank Dan enough and just wanted to share with
everyone what a fantastic person I found via this great list! :-)
Thanks to everyone for making this list possible, without it I may never
have found such a fabulous friend to help make my already great vanagon
experience even better!  We really are a rare breed ;-)
I hope this inspires more of us to share our knowledge and experience with
the newcomers to make our community that much better.  Jen
