Hey Volks,

Gotta chime in here... hopefully one of the engineering types on the List can clear this up.... Isn't a coil just a transformer with X number of windings on the input and many, many X windings on the output? And wouldn't collapse and expansion of the electromagnetic field in the primary induce the voltage in the secondary? And lastly, in a steady state where DC is flowing through the primary without being switched off and on, would there be ANY current in the output?
