Those of us who have had a flower pot throw hot shards about the place have a diminished enthusiasm for this method... :->

I actually have a device made by Perko in the dim past, which is meant to sit on a burner. It is of cast aluminum with a ribbed bottom and an internal finned duct with a fan blowing down into the top and out one side. I put a rheostat in the line because it's a noisy bugger, but it works a treat, and you can blow the hot air in a particular direction. It doesn't do anything about the water from combustion, of course. Cracking open the skylight gives a nice convective circulation through the heater and door vents.
