Subject: Need Starter Help
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Hi Listees! I need some mechanical help. My 89 Westy won't start, and using the Bentley for value readings and a multimeter, it looks like it boils down to my starter/solenoid. The Bentley describes removing the starter from a Syncro, but doesn't show removal from a regular 2.1 digifant engine. Anybody had any experience with this? Should I leave this job to the pros, or can I tackle it with some limited shadetree experience? My main concern is the limited wiggle space under the van in my driveway. I could put it up on stands, but would this give me enough room, and access to handle the job? Any answers are greatly appreciated.... thanks..
