Hi! all Thule makes, what I always called, long legs and long bars for the poptop...I have been using them for several years. i use three bars on my west, because i usually carry several kayaks or canoes... these bars take five minutes to take off..but I can say that i have also been attracted to the brackets; but i would have to take the boats off anyway (s), if i wanted to put the top up...so what is really the difference? and I am not drilling any holes! pierre a. lachance lac beauport, quebec www.geocities.com/lachancepa/
