Hi Volks,

I just returned from the San Francisco Bay Area Van-a-goon Tailgate party. All I can say is Wow. I have never seen so many vanagons in one place at one time. I counted 15 vans in my row and I arrived late, some had already left. Also, I have never seen a Subaru powered van and there were 3 there! There were a few Syncros, even list regulars Steve Schwenk (the spring guy) and Ben T were there.

The park where this all went down is on a peninsula about a mile out on the San Francisco Bay where it could be quite cold and windy, but today it was perfect. The day ended with a few folks having wine and cheese as the sun went down over the Golden Gate bridge.

I want to thank Phaedra for putting on such a fun event.

Ken Herman 86 Syncro Westy
