Subject: Exide Orbital Battery Install Help

Today I bought the Exide Orbital Battery discussed previously on the list. The Checker Auto I bought it from had models with four top posts (one in each corner) and two top posts (in the middle on each side)and of course the side terminals. I bought the one with the two top posts, $129.99. I thought this was a pretty good price considering the technology seems to be the same as the Optima and I can get a warranty at any Krager or Checker auto. Anyway, it seems a big larger than the Optima from what I've read from the other installs (maybe 1/4 " in each direction). I've begun to cut the metal in the front of the box (what was VW's plan to use 1/16" steel for the batt holder?). I was wondering if anyone has had any experience mounting this battery. It looks like I'll need to cut off the top posts to make this work. It also does not look like it will lie flat on its side (a bit too big) but I'll know more when I get the rest of the metal cut away. Any help with this battery would be great, if not, I guess I'm a pioneer and I'll let the rest of the group know. TIA
