Todd the best contact stuff out there is called Plio-bond (sp?) My can dried
up and I threw it away, so unsure on the spelling. It is an aviation contact
cement(pricey),but light years stronger than the hardware store stuff. You
can get it through San Val Aviation in Van Nuys CA, mail order, among other
places.
