Short shift kits come from Gene Berg www.geneberg.com . If the linkage has mechanical wear evident then you will need to address those parts as the short shift kit will not be a panacea for linkage wear. Hello My shift mechanism on my '87 feels pretty sloppy. My '90 shift mechanism by comparison feels pretty tight. I dont notice any play in the mid linkage coupler or ball/socket at the tranny. What is the common cause of this problem? Will a short shift kit in any way address this problem? Where is the best source for the short shift kit(s)?
