Last Saturday my wife decided to box her way out of the parking garage with our '86 GL Van. We lost - she sheared off the passenger side mirror. The mirror is electrically adjustable. aside from small cracks in the black plastic housing the only damage to the unit was a broken internal metal shaft that holds the whole assemble up. The dealer wants more than two hundred dollars for the unit and was unable to disclose the original manufacturer. what i'm looking for is either a salvagable unit to recover the internal shaft, or something quite a bit cheaper than the dealer's asking price. also, any advise on removing the wiring harness through the small hole in the door sheet metal would be appreciated. i'm hoping to avoid having to cut the wires. thank you in advance.
