Mick, It's in a place called Emeryville. It is just across the SF Bay before Oakland & Bezerkley (Berkeley). There is a finger of land jutting out of the Bay where the Emeryville Marina is located. Emeryville's claim to fame used to be the mudflats where artist would sneak in late at night and set-up their artwork. It's like a miniature "Burning Man" event which changed daily to entertain the commuters. The flats have since been cleaned up and a humungous IKEA store is the most prominent building in town. Westies were plentiful during the event because it seems that Westy owner's are more devoted to the Vanagon ownership than other owners. People have a tendency to spend more money on their "homes" than their cars. BenT San Francisco |
