Electrical gurus, I have just install my stock Hiedelburg radio I bought off the list. I thought while installing, I would be brilliant, and hook up the hot wire to the little gray/black wire that comes out of the ignition switch, so the radio will be on until I pull the key. Works great. However, with these stock radios, they are designed for 12v supply at all times, unlike aftermarket radios where there is a 12v supply constant for memory, and a key-on type power, thus allowing the radio to shut off when ignition is off, and maintaining station presets, time, etc. I really want the radio to maintain the presets, and go off with the key. Any ideas? TIA Adam Puzerewski 81 westy 74 beetle 86 cabrio Vanagon Partsmobiles |
