Hello folks, Thank you for helping me to solve my compression problem without having to pull my engine. I would thank you by name, but I don't have your names anymore. My vanagon needs to be up and running by the end of this month or it is getting booted from it's parking place in my parents drive. I guess I can't blame them. I told them I would be moving to Montana 2 months ago. So I have a big trip ahead and I can't even get my van to start. My compression is okay now, I am getting spark (new coil, plugs, leads, distributor, cap and rotor), I am smelling fuel on the plugs, my starter is turning the engine ( 4 revs then a pause). I am baffled as to what can be the problem. If anyone has any ideas feel free to send. Steve 80 vanagon |
