Hi Volks,
      Use a big punch and 2-3 pound hammer. Hit / tap very smartly  in a
circular pattern between the lug bolts. It works, even for those of little
faith.  What this does is puts a dimple on the inside of the drum forcing it
off the axle.
    The 46 mm axle nut remover (stamped out)  that you hammer has never
failed me. I have broken a 3/4 inch breaker bar using a 10 foot pipe for
added leverage.  The one you hammer on simply works.
