A lot of us have second cars that we can rely on when we need to get somewhere. And they usually say TOYOTA or HONDA across the back. When I get to the amount of money I have dropped in my Vanagon over the last year with my Toyota, I will let you know. I have owned that vehicle for 8 years now. And maintenance on a Toyota IS changing oil, changing antifreeze every couple of 5 years, spark plugs every 50,00 miles. and kicking the tires every week or so.

Love my Vanagon, but don't start comparing "well Built Cars" and "Engineering Supiriority". There is a reason VW lost the market share it once had in the US.
