Just a guess but Saterday I was under my 84 1.9L replacing the LONG coolant pipes. I looked at the radiator wondering how it comes out if I never needed to. It looks like there are two brackets that fasten to the cross member and it most likely drops down and both hoses are at the bottom. The only thing might be getting it high enough to get it out. I've worked on many golfs and jetta's and they are usally stright foward to get out. The vanagons seem to be that way too but they just require more of it! ----- Original Message ----- From: Chris Mugge To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Sent: Wednesday, October 25, 2000 4:51 PM Subject: Diesel Radiator Removal

My 82 Westy Diesel recieved a very large hole in the radiator yesterday. I was thinking of replacing it myself. Are there any hidden pitfalls to this procedure? Thanks for the help. I love this list. Chris Mugge augie@asapnet.net
