I got curious enough about this topic to call a buddy of mine who works
International Traffic. I asked if he'd ever heard of a container ship ending
up at a different port. "Heard of it? Goddamn, boy, they do it all the time!
'Specially this time of year. The really big ships are hardcore, but the
smaller ships don't want to mix it up with Mother Nature much. So they go
around."
