The last time I replaced my antenna,( I purchased it at Pep Boys, and is the exact same as I had gotten at a vanagon vendor) there was a flexable, springy antenna available, right next to the correct one, with the exact same base as the stock antenna. I thought about it then but didn't buy it. I sure wish I had. The price was about $8.95 and would surely cut back on the antenna changng syndrome for awhile.
