Subject: The Pulitzer Prize for Meat
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Unofficial sources inside the CA Whitehouse this morning confirmed that retired aerospace engineer Ron Bloomquist has been nominated for the Pulitzer Prize for Meat.

Mr. Bloomquist is described by friends as a jaunty geezer of rare wit & a collection of eccentric vehicles, one of which apparently resembles a Jersey cow. Mr. Bloomquist, in early retirement from Boeing Aircraft, is rumored to reside in a hot tub in the wilds of the Mendocino County, CA, an area popular with dissidents, political activists, artists, & eccentrics. Mr. Bloomquist, however, disavows any association with the notorious Redwood Underground.

When asked why he chose meat as a topic of lifelong study & research, Mr. Bloomquist scratched his head & grinned. "Meat just can't be beat!"
