We have had our table jam twice, in our Wolfy Weakender.

Both times I pried the sucker loose, with out damaging the table itself. But the screwy latch was toast. After replacing it twice, and realizing this was going to be a common occurance, I solved the problem by using a strong flat magnet and a steel plate. One goes onto the side of the van, the other onto the table. Probably best to put magnet on the side of the van, so a tape or disk does not get erased while on the table.

Source of the strong, flat magnet, mounted on a plate with mounting holes, and the "matching" steel plate for it to stick to: an old computer hard drive.

Yessiree, they gots some really strong flat magnets in 'em. Maybe your local computer store, or the useless 500MB drive sitting in the obsolete 486 taking up room in the garage.....
