Hi Karl and Kristina, Please do drop by if you get in the area. I would love to show you my part of the universe. Plan to stay several days if you like. We have plenty of room inside and out. My wife Jolene says plan to stay in, you will have plenty of time to camp later in the trip. Our children are all gone so we have a couple of spare bed rooms. We are both very sound sleepers. If you have any loose ends to tidy up on your van while you are here I will be glad to give you a hand. We have a campout planned at cuivre river state park just north of stl the first weekend of Nov. The Dummitts and Hills will most likely be there along with several from the type 2 list. If you have trouble within a day or so of Southern Illinois I can get a truck and tandem axle trailer from a friend who I help with his racing engines. I also have a tow bar which mates to a vanagon or bay very easily. Hope all is going well for you and looking forward to seeing you both and Julia to.

Darrell
