Whatever. Who gives a rat's butt what the Quattro people think of us? Not me.

If fewer of them know about the utility of our vehicles and the camaraderie associated with people who own them, all the better. Otherwise the prices might start to rise, especially when they start slapping overpriced A8 wheels on them. And please, not the "A5K wheels on a Vanagon" thread again...<groan>.

As far as "hippies" go, I've met a pretty broad cross-section of people at VW transporter events and campouts, including retirees, young families, and yeah, some hippies. We all got along great. We were willing to trade ideas, help each other out with technical issues, and sit around a fire and listen to someone strum a guitar. I even started liking Greatful Dead music. Anyone got a good CD copy of 5/8/77 at Ithaca? :-)
