Subject: Westy travel with Laptop & Dialpad

I am headed south of the border soon with my laptop & have just signed up with Dialpad.

While I've yet worked out what ISP to use during my travels, I thought I'd pass on the Dialpad tip to those who may not yet know of it. Using this free service, it's possible to call friends anywhere in the world, PC to PC, using Dialpad & an internet connection. A friend who uses it frequently to call family in Denmark tells me he's satisfied & happy to put up with the occassional static & skipped words. I bought a headset at Radio Shack for under $20 & was assured the sound quality was excellent for my purposes.

If anyone has anything to add to this, please feel free! I just regiesterd & have yet to try it out. Anybody else using this free service?

Sounds good to me! Phaedra www.dialpad.com
