Hey, list...

Every now and again, this list erupts with complaints about the list vendors. Not doing this or that, pricing issues, personality issues, etc., etc., ad nauseam. I'm guilty of it too, as I've publicly vented a few concerns, particularly aimed at BusDepot.

Well, I'm here to say that, if given the chance, these vendors will live up to the commitments they make, and indeed do better if they can. Recently, I've had the pleasure of doing business with both of these establishments, and each time they exceed my expectations - their orders arriving well ahead of what they committed to and at the cost agreed upon. Their communication was explicit regarding stock, and they offered suggestions for alternate routings when and where they could. The telephone conversations I've had with them were polite and professional (something I vented about to this list). And, in the case of BusDepot, the employees I spoke with were of the same ilk.

The point is this: I get the feeling that this treatment is not - repeat, NOT - exceptional or special. It's the way these two vendors conduct their business on a daily basis. The exceptions are the delays or Snafu's - you fault, their fault, no one's fault - that occur in the course of business. After all, it not the vendors fault that your shipment fell off the UPS sorting belt or got delayed at the airport because of fog.

Thank you, gentlemen, for helping me keep my Van on the road.
