The situation is that I have an 85 with auto-stop fill valve with frozen
bleed screw broken at the stem.  Go Westy offers rebuilding (none in stock
currently) but not sure if it is rebuildable with the broken bleeder screw.
I though I had read a post where someone replaced the old style auto-stop
valve with the later "bottle" style valve like the later Westies have and I
assume installed the appropriate bleed screw in the hole near the top right
of the tank.  Can anyone verify this, or offer other suggestions for
replacing the problematic auto-stop?  Can I just find a later fill valve
and bleeder and screw them on?  Does anyone know the manufacturer number
for the bleed screw of the proper depth for the tank? Have I asked too many
questions?...  much obliged -
