Craig said it right, I'd add that the smaller speakers will do a better job if they are only sent the frequencies they can handle. A cross over will split the lows and highs (and mids depending) so the woofer will not have to handle the higher frequencies either. Most systems benefit from amping the signal after it's been separated out, might want to plan for two small to medium capacity amps; one for the front, another for the back. Or, better yet, one for the Mids/ Highs & the other for the lows. The key here is clarity over ultimate power output. Source->X-Over->Highs_to_Amp1->Tweeters, Same Source->X-Over->Lows_to_Amp2->Woofer. The Bazookas are well thought of, easy to work with, some come with their own amps built in. So, you can get some good sound even when your placement is limited. hth, TBerk |
