Same thing that happens if the stock headlights get busted! But I've been driving for about 36 years now and haven't busted a headlight yet :) But for $40 you can buy the lexan protectors...

Haven't used the round ones but I can tell you that the stock rectangular ones were the worst headlights I've had in over 30 years... and after I put in the Hella E-Code H4s that David Marshall sells I now have the best headlights I've had in 30 years... good enough for me... and I much prefer the rectangular headlights... why would I want to regress to the round look of older vans???
