I dunno... While not the optimal solution, didn't the English have a 1600 twin carbed version of the aircooled engine? I gotta tell you, having an aircooled that didn't leak or burn oil... might be worth the reduced HP. Of course things like this then get sold with the van down the road :(...

Yep, I'ld go for it. Use the time this gives you to rebuild the 2.0 for later reinstalling. As an added bonus, you get a art deco designed chicken coop with a bunch of windows in it.
