Hello all-

I'm relatively new to the list, and would very much appreciate your help in converting my standard-7 passenger 1990 Vanagon GL to something more like a Westy. I have done some things, but I am really stuck with....

TWO QUESTIONS:

1) Where the heck do I put some REAL speakers? I have the dual AC, and cannot stick anything in the over-head except those 4'' stock (which I have replaced, but still sound less-than exhilarating). In front, I have manual windows, thus limiting my door panel space to 4'' as well. I would love some 6x9's and a sub-woofer.

2) I have removed the middle bench (anyone want this? ) and now have plenty of room to install a custom "Westy-like" cabinet set. My question is, should I search for a "junk-yard" westy set, or custom build something. If I go custom, does anyone have any experience with this, or an establishment that can sell/install such a thing?

Planning LONG trip to Central America (from Baltimore) after I finish graduate school in January.

THANK YOU SO MUCH. I have really enjoyed reading and becoming a part of the list.

PS- How do I get a sticker?
