Daryl doesn't do himself justice. He neglected to mention that the new 3/4 slider assembly is now an upgraded part that will not crack like the original. You won't have this problem again, the rebuilt units are better than the original.

I'm at 110,000 miles on an AA unit in my '84, and it is functioning perfectly--shifts like a dream and there is no bearing noise. No doubt this is due to both AA's quality rebuild and my use of Red Line MT-90. Worth the cost of shipping to Daryl, IMHO, particularly if you plan on keeping this rig.
