Volks,

I replaced the pressure equalization hose and the two tees today. What took me two days last weekend took me less than two hours today.

I was right, the tee under the drivers seat was cracked. All is well now. No leaks, no gas smell. Life is good!!

When I bought my vanagon last year I thought the only place to get repair parts was the list vendors. During this ordeal I have learned that my local VW dealer is very helpful. They get a parts shipment on Friday of each week and if you place your order by Wednesday you have your parts for the weekend with no shipping charge. The parts I have ordered so far have been slightly less that list vendor prices. No slam on the list vendors, they are very nice folks trying to make a living, just a statement of fact.

The parts person at my local VW dealer is a cute little single lady who has taken and interest in my Westy but, that has nothing to do with the above statement.
