Subject: Nit Picking Solar Systems
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Larry Hamm, I find it amusing you cannot accept my appraisal--based on six months of daily use--of my own solar system! I don't expect the needs & habits of other's to match my own, but offer my own solar experience merely as a point of reference. Solar systems need not be complicated or expensive!

As to your reference to "wasted energy" powering a coffee grinder thru an inverter vs 12 volt---Bah! What nit picking! The three seconds it takes ginding a morning's worth of beans is hardly a "drain" on my system, "inefficient" or not. I already own a perfectly good coffee grinder which, BTW, is not recycled as "plastic."

Too, I already own a Canon digican, it's proprietary battery charger & three spare batteries--so why suggest I go looking for a possible "after market" charger? Why, in fact, suggest anything at all? I am fully operational & content with my system. Perhaps I do not have the "perfect" solar set up, but it works for me. Perfectly.

Phaedra
